What are the hire fees for the Battersea Barge's event spaces?
Hiring the entire Battersea Barge can range from £3k to £8.5k depending on the date and event specifics. The inside Lower Deck is available for hire at £285 on a Saturday evening, £235 on a Thursday (peak) or Friday evening. Alternatively, we can waive this for a £2,500 minimum spend/budget.
Is there a security deposit required and what does it cover?
Yes, a £200 authentication deposit is required, which covers access to the PA system and ensures compliance with the terms and conditions.
What is the capacity of the Battersea Barge for events?
The whole boat has a capacity of 150 people, while the Lower Deck can seat up to 75 guests.
Are there any restrictions on music or entertainment at the venue?
While you can bring your own DJ or use the Barge's recommended DJ for £285, music should match the venue's vibe: easy-listening, fun, and upbeat. We have sound engineers that you can use or you are welcome to use your own sound engineers, for which we would simply need a CV and references.
What are the requirements for pre-ordering food and drinks?
Food and drinks can be pre-ordered up to two weeks in advance. The kitchen is open until 10pm, and pre-orders are encouraged to ensure availability.
What is the booking confirmation process like?
Bookings require payment of the hire fee or deposit to confirm; dates cannot be held without payment.
Can you bring in outside caterers for an event?
Yes, this is possible, but we would require a corkage fee.
What is the Battersea Barge cancellation policy?
Once confirmed and paid for we do not offer cancellations / refunds. In the extremely unlikely event that an event might need to be cancelled from our side for reasons beyond our control; we will either offer a full refund, offer a change of date or endeavour to relocate you on our sister vessel, Tamesis Dock.
