Pricing varies by space and event type. For the Main Bar & Gin Parlour (up to 200 guests), expect a minimum drinks spend of £4,000 plus a minimum food spend of £2,500. The Studio space is £350 hire fee with a minimum drinks spend of £20 per person per hour. Whole venue hire (Music Hall) may require a £5,000 minimum drinks spend, or in some cases, a venue hire fee starting at £1,600 depending on requirements. For corporate dinners, exclusive hire—including catering and bar minimums—has been quoted at £15,500 for 200+ guests.

Are there any mandatory deposits, and how are they calculated?

A deposit is required to secure the booking—typically 25% of the total minimum spend (e.g. £1,250 for a £5,000 minimum spend). This deposit is refundable after the event if the minimum spend is met. If you pay the minimum spend in full up front, the deposit may not be necessary.

What are the capacity limits for different business event spaces within Gorilla?

Capacity depends on the space: Main Bar & Gin Parlour holds up to 200 people, Music Hall up to 550, The Studio up to 50. For exclusive hire or large-scale events, the full venue may accommodate up to 700, although availability at this scale may be limited. Confirm your guest numbers with the venue to determine the most appropriate space.

What timeframes can business events be held at Gorilla, and are there any restrictions?

Events can usually be run between 10am and 6pm for viewings and setup Monday–Friday, with actual event times extending into evenings (some spaces available until midnight or 1am). There are late-night hire options (e.g. midnight to 6am for club events), but earlier start times may be restricted on Sundays and during private events.

Are there any additional mandatory costs beyond the venue hire/minimum spend?

Yes, AV Technicians are charged from £22 + VAT per hour if needed. For certain events, a DJ or dedicated technician may be required, starting at £50 per hour. All food and drinks pre-ordered or purchased onsite count towards your minimum spend (unless otherwise specified), but food must be sourced from Gorilla's kitchen—external catering is not allowed in most spaces.

What is the process for securing a booking and making payments?

Once a date and quote are confirmed, you must sign a booking agreement and pay the required deposit (usually 25% of total minimum spend or hire fee). Full payment is typically requested before the event date; any payment specifics will be clearly stated in your agreement.

Can I bring in my own food or use outside caterers for my business event?

External catering is generally not permitted. All food must be supplied by the onsite kitchen team—minimum food spends may apply (e.g., £2,500 for Main Bar & Gin Parlour events). Own catering is almost always prohibited. For under-18s present at events, alcohol can only be served with strict ID checks at the bar. How far in advance can I provisionally hold a date, and what happens if there are competing enquiries?

The venue offers flexible layouts, access to vintage furnishings and leather booths, tables, and a sound system suitable for business presentations or music events.
